IB-PYP探究进行时 | 我们如何表达自己

了解“共享地球”后,孩子们对于“我能做些什么,

要如何表达自己”等等这类与“我”、“表达”有关的话题产生了强烈探索欲望。

After the theme of “sharing the planet”,

children have the desire of exploring the topic relevant to expression such as “how we express ourselves”.

“我们如何表达自己”主题下,充分给到孩子们表述的机会,

让孩子针对问题各抒己见, 发表自己的想法,培养“善于交流”的特质。

While conducting the theme of “how we express ourselves”,

teachers give chances to students to fully express themselves, sharing and presenting ideas of issues to cultivate the attribute of communicators.

中心思想:

我们通过“玩”来表达我们的情感和思想,并产生新的理解。

We express our emotion, ideas and have the new understanding through playing.

 

探究线索:

1. 通过玩进行沟通;

探究式学习Inquiry-Based Learning

 

上一期,孩子们收集并利用身边的物品进行“reuse”,发现了各种“宝藏”潜在的乐趣。

今天,我们与孩子一起寻“宝”,在“玩”中学会表达自己的情绪、感受、想法以及创造力。

Last unit of inquiry, children collected and utilized something around them to reuse.

Thus, they find the potential joy of those “treasures”.

This time, we will look for something precious with our kids to express their emotion, feeling, ideas and presenting imagination by playing.

我们希望孩子能将生活中熟悉的事物与探究线索有效地联系起来,

以便能在探讨交流的过程中,更好地理解和表达自我。

We hope that children can connect the things that they are familiar with to lines of

inquiry effectively so as to understand and express ourselves through communication.

通过不断尝试、及时反思,一项项看似不可能完成的任务,都迎刃而解了!

Children try continuously and be reflective. Finally,

they complete the task that seems impossible jointly by communication and cooperation.

“Show and Tell”环节,孩子们的手脑协调能力、表达、思考和创造力都得到了明显的提升,

在积极创作后,大家也纷纷忍不住想要分享作品和玩具背后的故事。

When doing the activity of show and tell, children not only improve the ability of hands and heads coordination,

but also make progress of expressing, thinking and creating.

They finish their work and can’t stop to share the story beyond it.

什么是特色文化?地方的特色文化会通过哪些方式渗透到生活中?

对于较小的孩子而言,简单、实用且有力量的一切,都是感知特色文化的重要途径,

比如常常可以接触到的美食、经常走过的路,还可以是我们熟悉的文字。

What’s special culture? How does it exist in our daily life?

For younger kids, everything that is simple, practical and pragmatic is an important way for knowing something about special culture.

For example, it could be the delicious food, road that we go frequently and even the character that we are familiar with.

 

在武汉,我们把吃早饭叫“过早”。

In Wuhan, we say “guo zao” instead of breakfast.

 

妈妈说武汉的早餐“30天不重样”,真的有那么多吗?

My mother says we won’t eat same food in Wuhan for 30 days. Really?

 

吃饭不是应该在桌上吗?为什么有的人会边走边吃?

Should we eat by the table? Why there is someone eating while walking?

 

带着这些疑问,K2的孩子们和爸爸妈妈一起开启了武汉美食文化探究之旅。

With these doubts, children and parents of K2 begin the exploration of food culture in Wuhan.

在交流与思路碰撞中,孩子们发现方言背后的烟火气,是武汉独有的语言文化特色;

热干面、豆皮、面窝、糯米鸡……

这些“30天都不重样”的“过早”味道,是武汉饮食文化的特色体现。

In the following collision of intercommunication and ideas, children find something beyond dialectic.

That is unique culture including Hot Noodles, Doupi, Mianwo, Lo mai gai, and sticky soup.

These tastes of “Guo zao” in 30 days embody food culture in Wuhan.

细心的孩子还探到“过早”与武汉的码头文化有着密不可分的关系。

有码头,就会有桥梁,而武汉的桥,就是一道独特的文化印记!

孩子们带着种种疑问,在地图上找到熟悉的桥梁,听老师讲述不同桥梁的故事。

Our careful kids also find that “Guo zao” connects to the culture of wharf tightly. 

If there is a wharf, there will be a bridge. The bridge in Wuhan is the unique sign of culture.

With doubts, our children set about finding the bridges that they familiar with in the map, listening to teachers telling stories about different bridges.

汉字也是特色文化的体现,它从古老的象形文字逐渐演变成我们生活中的最重要一部分。

Chinese characters are also the embodiment of characteristic culture,

which has gradually evolved from ancient pictographs to the most important part of our lives.

孩子用一点一滴串起对文化的记忆,加深对文化的理解,

老师们也用先进的教育理念带领孩子们了解祖国的优秀传统文化对世界的意义。

We gradually arise our memory and deepen the understanding of culture by threads and needles together with our children.

With advanced education theory, we also lead kids to know the meaning of traditional culture towards world.

毕业典礼那天也庆祝了,可是心情有些奇怪,一会儿想哭,一会儿又想笑。
